Getting ready for our first trunk show and first holiday showing this Saturday! Just bought this tent canopy on Craigslist for $75. It's a Quest Commercial 10 x 10 and we had a time figuring out how to raise and lower it. But we did! Then we wanted to do some kind of a layout to get an idea of how we wanted to set up. This trunk show will be beside one of our favorite diners here in the Asheville area....Wynn's Diner. It was just listed as one of ten "Best Diner's to Make You Feel Right at Home" in North Carolina. We love eating there and of course they are also some of our best customers too....so we think it's fitting that they are part of our first show! Thanks, Steve and Melissa Wynn.
Getting out a bunch of decorations left over from doing weddings. Lots of stuff and we don't need much...we want the arts and crafts to be front and center, right?
So...it got dark on us but we didn't give up! This is a pretty good idea of how we will set up Saturday.
Adding height and interest where ever we can. I love these dark wood crates and bright sunflowers. Oh, and of course I had to have at least one green plant...might sneak in another one, but don't tell anybody.
The front table and the front side of the booth. Just lots of baskets right now for adding stuff later.
The side table. I'm thinking on Saturday we will reverse this to the other side. And of course, a few peace signs thrown into the mix. And owls, certainly m'dear!
And the backside where our chairs will be...the area under the table will be for supplies and packaging. Now cross your fingers for no rain! Thank you.
If you have any suggestions be sure to comment on this post. Oh, and I know we need tent weights, they are in the works. And we are adding a throw rug or two to the layout even though the booth will be on asphalt. Gotta have the look, right?
